THE PATRIE
The company seeks excellence in its American Alligator, African Crocodile, Caiman, Ostrich and Python skins and is highly sensitive to the methods of rearing and sourcing raw hides in full respect of the ecosystem.
In fact, every single skin is compliant with the international regulations established by the Convention on international trade in endangered species of wild fauna and flora (CITES).
La Patrie is an existing proof of an important business project with low environmental impact since it was built in a green perspective.
In 2014, it took life in Ponte a Egola in the province of Pisa, in the heart of the Tuscan Tanning District.

Combining different sectorial experiences with a multi-year know-how matured within important international tanning companies, using the most innovative technologies available, we want to represent, on the world scene, an independent point of reference to guarantee a product with high quality features.
The entrepreneurial principles on which the project is based make La Patrie’s essential values are transparency, correctness, respect for people and environmental responsibility.
THE INNOVATION INSTINCT IS IN OUR NATURE
La Patrie, since 2015, has decided to invest its resources in an important innovative restructuring process for the construction of a modern and technologically advanced industrial complex.
The structure consists of approximately 5,000 square meters between production departments, office buildings and recently the construction of a further detachment used as an analysis laboratory, completely manufactured in green building, has been completed.
The use of specific materials means generating a context capable of offering high standards of production and safety with a view to maximizing efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
The installation of a large photovoltaic system also guarantees the production of part of the energy needs of the company, and the supply of electric vehicles available to the personnel.
On a structural level, the implementation and installation of entirely PVC systems, the use of steel equipment and the resin flooring of all the surfaces have been designed to allow the elimination of the risks deriving from the contamination of the product by specific metals such as, chrome, iron and aluminum, in order to make the tanned leather completely compliant with the Metal Free parameters.
The production capacity currently developed within the watch-strap factory is 100% Chrome / Metal Free.
The use of innovative technologies as well as generating superior quality products has also enabled the achievement of numerous benefits in terms of savings of the energy resources used with the achievement of greater safety for workers.
Our operators are not mere producers, we try to learn from their feedback, their suggestions and their ideas to put new techniques and organizational methods into place.
PROCESS
Every day we put all the commitment and passion for our work to make high quality leather.
From the choice of the best raw materials to their finishing, carried out mainly in the absence of solvents, with the use of advanced equipment, use of high-strength materials such as PVC and steel, all the phases that make up the production process are carried out with attention to every single detail, these and other characteristics of our working method make the difference and make our skins unique in their kind.
Our main goal is to create a high quality Chrome & Metal free product, minimizing the chances of contamination during each production phase.

HIGH QUALITY
Our products have remarkable chemical / physical qualities, fine grain, good elasticity, softness and versatility in the use of leather on multiple types of articles.
With regard to the innovative tanning used Chrome & Metal free, no aspects were found which in any way affect the high standard of composition of the final product, which results to have optimal and high performance characteristics in the same way and with better quality than the products so far on the market.
